Dusty and Dottie welcomed a beautiful new joey, and while we were secretly hoping for a little girl, this tiny one surprised us by being an adorable little boy!
His eyes haven’t opened yet, so he’s still very much in the “tiny fuzzy potato” stage of life. We haven’t settled on a name yet, and we’re still deciding whether he’ll stay here at Mountain Grove Gliders or eventually find a family of his own.
Mom decided it was Dad’s turn to babysit today, and Dusty was wonderfully calm while we borrowed the little guy for a quick health check and a few cuddles. Everything looks great, and he is growing just as he should.
Of course, he made sure to let us know exactly how he felt about the interruption with the cutest little baby crabs. Joey crabbing may be their way of saying, “Put me back!”, but it’s impossible not to smile when they’re this tiny.
We can’t wait to watch this little fellow grow, and we’ll be sure to share updates once he opens his eyes and, hopefully, once he tells us what his name should be. š
